If you are pregnant, not ready to be a mom, and don't know what to do with the baby - don't worry.  There is a service called "SAFE HAVEN" that will take your newborn, no questions asked.  You do not have to give your name or your address.  You can provide medical information about your baby but you don't have to answer any questions.  As long as your baby is not a victim of abuse or of any other crime, you will not get in any trouble.  The baby will be checked by a doctor, given medical care, and the local youth agency will find it a family to taken a care for the baby.

ALL HOSPITALS IN PENNSYLVANIA ARE SAFE HAVENS. Call 1-866-921-SAFE or visit www.secretsafe.org (in PA, but good information is on this site)

In most states HOSPITALS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES, POLICE STATIONS, & FIRE STATIONS, will accept your baby.  Walk into any of these places and ask if it a "safe haven".

There is no need to abandon your baby in an unsafe place - just see your options and know that the baby can be taken to a safe place where it can be given a chance at life even if you are not ready.
