A little about myself:

My name is Andrea and I'm 23 years old.  I have a 6 year old son and we currently live in State College, PA where I am a full time student at Penn State studying Elementary Education.  I recently spent a year out in VA taking care of my mom who was diagnosed with cancer in September '06.  Unfortunately, we suffered a great loss in June '07 when she passed away after a very tough battle.  I am currently dealing with everything that happened - but I know that even though we miss her down here, heaven has gained an awesome woman.  She was only 46, very active, fun to be around, strong, and just all around AMAZING.  What an inspiration... she is my hero.

Why I made this site:

*First of all, let me say that although I made this site with single and young moms in mind, it actually has a lot of information that all parents can benefit from!*

I made this site hoping to reach women who are currently experiencing an unexpected pregnancy, single moms (whether young or older, and single because the father was never around, because of a split, death, or simply by choice.) and teen moms (whether in a relationship or not).  I have been in all of those situations (became pregnant unexpectedly, and later became a single, teen mother)  There are many sites online where one can find resources and support, but when I became pregnant and began searching, I found it overwhelming and pretty scary.  Hopefully this page will help you in your search for some answers.  The page about pregnancy is for women who believe they may be pregnant, and for those who just found out they are pregnant.  It is made to facilitate your decision with links, pros and cons, and resources. The page for moms is one I think single or young mothers (all parents actually!) will find helpful.
